Bengies Drive-in

Bengies Drive-In Theatre is a permanent drive-in located at 3417 Eastern Boulevard, Middle River, Maryland. Celebrating its 70th season of continuous operation, Bengies opened its doors on June 6, 1956, and has become a cherished landmark in the community. The theatre boasts the biggest outdoor movie screen in the USA, measuring 52 feet high by 120 feet wide, providing a perfect picture experience for moviegoers. With a capacity of 750 vehicles, it offers a unique moviegoing experience that includes at least two features per night, often three on weekends, and a nostalgic atmosphere that takes patrons back in time.

Bengies operates most of the year, with its season typically running from early March through October, adapting to weather conditions. The drive-in is equipped with digital projection technology and FM radio sound, ensuring a high-quality viewing experience. Guests can tune into 105.3 FM or AM 830 to enjoy the audio of the films.

The theatre features a playground for children and a concession stand offering a variety of snacks and beverages. However, outside food and beverages are not allowed unless a permit is purchased for $20 at the box office. Alcohol is also not permitted on the premises.

Bengies Drive-In Theatre has specific policies regarding pets, allowing only leashed pets, and it provides restroom facilities for guests. The owner, D. Vogel, has been managing the theatre since April 1988, continuing the legacy of quality and showmanship established by the Vogel family.

For ticket purchases, patrons can buy tickets at the box office or online, with admission prices set at $12.50 for general admission and $7.50 for children aged 4 to 10. Children under 4 can attend for free. The theatre accepts cash only at the box office, while credit cards are accepted at the snack bar.
